So you want to heat things up with a barbecue this summer?
If so, it’s important to remember that doing so can be just as dangerous as it can be delicious. So, here are some dos and don’ts for when you hit the grill for some BBQ action this summer!
Use volatile fluids like lighter fluids to start your fire. These can cause unwanted flare-ups and ruin your meal…and more.
Keep your lid closed! You run the risk of ruining your righteous meal if you make a habit of opening your lid too much. Doing so pulls heat away from your meat (it needs it to cook) and slows everything down.
Push your burgers down. A weird one? Kind of, BUT…pushing down your burgers also sees you push the delicious fats and oils it comes armed with away and ruin its shape. This is how and why many of us have ended up with burned, bruised and blackened burgers by the time we’re ready to chow down.
Take your time. It can be tempting to cook all of your meat at once but this may be a mistake as some foods take longer to cook than others. The trick is to work out how long each batch of meat needs to be completed. Why this is important? You may serve undercooked meat and put your health at risk!
So, here are your tips!
